Why SiteAim

Plenty of people will
look after your site.

Very few of them answer at three in the morning, own the servers your site runs on, or publish what they charge before you ask. Here is the honest case for choosing us, including where something else is genuinely the better fit.

  • Engineers on shift 24/7/365
  • Hardware we own outright
  • Prices published, not quoted

The ways people usually solve this.

Most are reasonable choices. Which one is right depends on the problem you actually have.

  • A maintenance plugin

Cheap, instant and genuinely fine for a small brochure site. It runs updates and takes backups. What it cannot do is notice that an update broke your checkout, or fix it on a Sunday. Software is not accountable to anyone.

  • A freelancer you trust

Often the best answer, and we mean that. They know your site, they care about it, and they cost less than we do. The catch is holidays, illness and their other clients. One person cannot be a rota, however good they are.

  • Your hosting company

They keep the server running, which is what they sold you. Ask about a plugin conflict or a form that stopped sending and you are told it falls outside their scope, because it does. Hosting support and WordPress support are different jobs.

  • Nobody, until it breaks

The most popular option by a distance, and the one we get called about. It works fine for a year or two. Then the bill arrives all at once, usually as an infection, a lost week, or a site nobody can log into any more.

  • Where we fit

When the site earns money, when an hour down costs more than a month of cover, or when you simply want it to stop being the thing you think about. That is the line. Below it, a plugin and a careful freelancer will serve you well.

  • Where we do not

We are not a design studio and we do not build sites from scratch. If what you need is a rebuild rather than upkeep, we will tell you that and point you elsewhere rather than take the money and stretch.

What actually separates us.

Six things that are hard to copy, because they are structural rather than promises.

  • Someone is genuinely awake

Not a queue that opens at nine. Engineers work shifts around the clock, which is why a site down at two in the morning gets a person at two in the morning rather than an automatic reply promising business hours.

  • We own the infrastructure

Our own servers in London and Dallas, running NVMe, rented from nobody. When hardware needs replacing we replace it, instead of raising a ticket with a provider and passing their timetable on to you.

  • The price is on the website

Every plan and every add-on is published. No discovery call before you can find out a number, no yearly rise you first meet on an invoice, and no charge for asking something you could not have known.

  • Nothing is outsourced

Whoever replies is the person doing the work, and they are on our payroll. Your site is not handed to a contractor who has never seen it before and will not see it again once the ticket closes.

  • You can leave whenever

No contract, no notice period, no exit fee. We hand over the site, the hosting and the backups. Keeping customers by making departure painful is not a business we want to be in.

  • More than 5,000 sites in

Whatever yours is doing, it is rarely the first time we have met it. That is the real benefit of scale here: diagnosis takes minutes because somebody on the team has already seen this exact failure.

The test we apply

If it would irritate us as a customer, we do not do it.

Most of the frustrating parts of buying support are deliberate. Prices kept off the website so they can be set per customer. Agreements that are easy to enter and awkward to leave. Support that is technically included and practically unreachable.

None of that is accidental and none of it is necessary. We decided early not to, and most of what is on this page follows from that single choice rather than from any clever strategy.

See every price
  1. No call needed for a number

You should be able to work out what we cost without speaking to a single person.

  2. No charging twice for one fault

If a fix does not hold, going back to it is not a second job with a second invoice.

  3. No blaming whoever came before

We inherit most sites in some sort of state. Explaining how it got there does not repair it.

  4. No lock-in of any kind

You keep your hosting, your backups and your access throughout. Leaving takes one email.

Fair questions, answered.

The ones worth asking before you hand your website to anybody.

Ask us anything
Are you cheaper than a freelancer?

Usually not, and we would rather say so. A good freelancer on a retainer often costs less than our plans. What you get for the difference is cover at night and at weekends, a team rather than one diary, and hosting inside the price.

Is my site big enough to need this?

The useful test is not size, it is cost of downtime. If a day offline is an inconvenience, a plugin and an attentive freelancer are enough. If a day offline means lost orders, missed enquiries or a stalled sales team, a plan pays for itself the first time it is needed.

What if I already have hosting I like?

Then keep it. Hosting is included if you want it, not compulsory. Plenty of the sites we look after stay exactly where they are, and the plan covers them the same way.

How quickly will somebody actually respond?

An engineer is assigned within minutes, at any hour. Most single issues are resolved inside the hour. Larger jobs get a realistic estimate up front rather than an optimistic one you have to chase.

Can I try it without committing?

Yes. Take a one-off fix and see how it goes, or start a plan and cancel it whenever you like. There is no contract to sign, and if we cannot fix what you came to us for, you pay nothing.
