Why we exist

Started because the quotes were absurd.

SiteAim was founded on a simple observation: people were being charged developer rates for jobs that take twenty minutes. A plugin conflict, a broken contact form, a hacked site that needed cleaning. Work that is routine if you do it every day, and terrifyingly expensive if you do not.

Hundreds of thousands of WordPress sites are hacked every year, almost always because something was left out of date. Owners then pay a fortune to a developer or a host to clean up something that should be quick and fairly priced. We built the alternative: published prices, fixed fees, and no charge for the fact that you did not know how to fix it yourself.

Since then we have invested heavily in the infrastructure behind it, because a maintenance company that cannot host properly is only doing half the job. Every engineer on the team has spent more than ten years in the hosting industry.

Every site is assessed first

Nothing gets touched before we have looked at the setup, the hosting and what is already wrong with it. Surprises later are almost always things nobody checked at the start.
Daily backups, kept 50 days

Files, database and email kept for 50 days, so recovering from a bad afternoon is something we handle in minutes.
Automated monitoring, human response

Our own systems watch for anything suspicious and raise an alert the moment they see it. An engineer looks at every one, which is the part software cannot do.
Security is the default, not an add-on

Malware scanning, free SSL on our hosting and hardening applied as standard rather than sold as an upgrade once something has already gone wrong.

Who actually works on my site?

An engineer employed by SiteAim. We do not pass work to contractors or marketplaces, so the person who diagnoses your problem is the person answerable for it.

How experienced is the team?

Every one of our technicians has spent more than ten years in the hosting industry. Most problems we are sent are ones we have seen many times before.

Where are you based?

The team is spread across several time zones on purpose. That is what makes genuine 24/7 cover possible rather than an answerphone outside office hours.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Care plans can be cancelled whenever you like, one-off jobs are exactly that, and if we cannot fix something you pay nothing for it.

What do you need access to?

Your WordPress admin and your hosting control panel. Credentials are encrypted, used only while a job is open, and you can revoke them the moment it is done.

Do you work with my existing developer?

Yes, and it is common. We work alongside designers and developers as an extension of the team rather than trying to replace them.
